Matt & Jo are having a baby!

We are all very excited for baby Mason William to come on February 17, 2011. The excited parents to be, Matt and Jo, gave us the opportunity to take pictures of them as they prepare for their new addition. This shoot ended up being more than we expected it to be. Not only did we come out with awesome photos, but we were able to sit down with Matt and Jo for dinner and had some of the best pot roast we have ever tasted! What a great way to end the session!

Ciara Senior Session

A great senior portrait session we photographed in Rockford, IL. It was a very cold day and Ciara did great job holding up. Lucky for us, I get to keep the jacket on. We went to a couple of locations and met a VERY large dog. The owners said he weighed more than 100lbs. Have a look at the photos and there is still plenty of time to get your 2011 seniors in for their photo session.

Most of the time, weather controls me. Somehow, I think I took the reigns on this engagement session. It was raining pretty hard, then it cleared up just in time for our shoot. Then the rain came back and I drove home in the worst rain ever. Wait, whats this blog about? Oh yea!

When two people are in love it shines through the lens. Brad and Kara displayed just that. Super cool to shoot, even cooler to hang with; though I may be biased because we have been friends for a while . I won’t be shooting their wedding but I am sure it will be awesome. When you’re a photographer, who takes your photos? When you spend all your time editing photos of other couples, your girlfriend is bound to ask “why don’t we ever get cool photos?”. This isn’t really how my scenario went down, but I am sure it could be common. Gretchen actually had this great idea so we went with it! Talk about a fun, loving couple and these two are bound to come up. I’ve known them both for a while through the old job, but it was a completely different environment during the photo shoot. Their wedding is coming up in May and we are already excited to cover it. Until then, have a look at their engagement photos and try to guess which photo forced me to climb a tree. Yeah, I did that.

Drew & Emily Married

You may remember Drew and Emily from the engagement session I did with them not long ago. This wedding was an absolute blast. Maybe I love my job too much because I say that a lot, but it was seriously fun. Summit Manor Reception House was an awesome place and they served the best pumpkin filled pasta that I have ever tasted. Not only that, but I had the opportunity to eat it at a table with great company. I hope you guys enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed spending time with you. Don’t worry, I had a feeewww photos were Kaleb wasn’t in the shot haha. Oh, Gretchen and Kaleb both rocked these photos with me. I think Gretchen won a spot on my team!
